Over the last month, I have been doing a series of meditations that I called “How to respond instead of reacting.” The meditations are just 5 minutes at the end of every strength training class, but they have been a powerful reminder to me of why meditation is so important to me.
I can look back to the person I was 7 years ago and see the incredible growth that has happened one little step at a time. Meditation is one of the practices that has helped me live life more in line with how I want to be living.
Through meditation, I have learned skills in extending a loving hand to myself, in really being present in a moment, in having compassion for others, in being able to take a step back in an argument and sense what response might be better, and much much more.
I have a lot to learn, and meditation has not made me an expert in any of this, but it has been a key element in helping me feel more peace, more grounded, and more able to respond rather than react.
I’m offering an Intro to Meditation course to share more about the things that I have learned starting next Monday, Oct 31 and am inviting you in if it’s a good fit for your schedule and life right now. Check out the details below.
